Deinonychus es un genus of terópodo that existed alrededor de 110m years ago durante el Early Cretácico período. Its name translates to ‘terrible claw’, un reference to el largo, scything talon on el second toe of its hind feet, which Deinonychus uses to defend itself from predators y attack its prey. Deinonychus es un close relative of Velociraptor y can grow up to 3m in length.
